Power Off Theory - If my cartridge is not recognised.

Power Off Theory:

If, when you install a cartridge you get the message, ‘your printer does not recognise this cartridge’ please do the following:

1)    While the printer is turned on open the door and wait for the printer to stop motioning;
2)    When the printer has stopped moving, take the offending cartridge(s) out and close the door;
3)    When the printer stops motioning, turn the power off at the wall or remove power from back of printer for 1 – 2 minutes;
4)    Plug power back in and turn on. The printer engine will run, whir back and forth;
5)    When the printer has stopped motioning, install the cartridge(s) that were removed;

Cartridge(s) should be accepted at this point.
